The number 8,844 contains two sets of digits in which one digit is 10 times as great as the other. Find the values of the digits in each set

    The first 8 (in the thousands location) has a value of 8,000 while the second 8 (in the hundreds place) is valued at 800. Similarly, the first 4 (in the tens location) has a value of 40 while the 4 in the units position is simply valued at 4.
