a bag contains 60 marbles. Some are red and the rest are black. There are 9 red marbles for every black marble (1 black marble). How many red marbles are in the bag?

    54 red marbles because 9 red+1 black=10, and 10*6=60 (total marbles) so 9*6 would get you your favorite answer of 54 red marbles.
