If it is $4.00 per gallon then we need to find the price of 7 gallons.

    7 * 4.00 = 28

so it costs $28 to travel 350 miles.

no to find the cost per mile, we need to divide.

    350 / 28 = 12.5

so the cost to run the car per mile is $12.50
