    c^2 = a^2 + b^2. Thus, (2b) ^2 = (2√3) ^2 + b^2

    Simplifying, we get: 4b^2 = 4 (3) + b^2, or 3b^2 = 4 (3). Then b^2 = 4, and b = + 2
