How can you use the formula for the area of a triangle to prove that the area of a kite is equal to half the products of its diagonals?

    Alrighty, so we draw lots of rectangles and triangles

    area of triangle=1/2 times base times height

    see diagram

    so we can move the triangles from one side to the other
