There is a three digit number. The second digit is four times as big as the third digit, while the first digit is three less than the second digit. What is the number?

    x = y-3 - since y is a single digit, the greatest x can be is 6 (when y is equal to 9). Assuming Y also has to be greater than three because x cannot be negative or equal to zero.

    Based on this assumption, y cannot equal zero therefore z cannot equal zero.

    If z=1, y=4, and x=1 making 141 a solution.

    If z=2, y=8, and x=5 making 582 a solution.
