Choose a value at random to represent the average number of leaves on a tree. C. Count the number of leaves on a single tree and assume all trees are the same. D. We are asked to determine the average number of leaves of an actual maple tree in a forest consisting of 50,000 maple trees. To determine this number, the best option is A. determine the average number of leaves for 10 randomly selected maple trees. Random sampling is n effective way to determine the count of a certain sample which increases the reliability of the result.

The best answer for this question is A. Leaves are hard to count, so it would be impossible to do letter C and D, unless you're going to give it much time. And letter B wouldn't be reasonable since there's no basis of the value picked randomly.
