Jill is making a cookie recipe that requires 4 cups of sugar for every 8 cups. But jill has 6 cups of flour. She concludes that she would only need 2 cups of sugar

    8 divided by 2 = 4

    6 divided by 2 = 3

    so 3 cups of sugar would be correct
