    You find the range by plugging 0,2 and 4 into x^2 + 1.

    for x = 0 y = 0 + 1 = 1

    x = 2, y = 2^2 + 1 = 5

    x = 4 y = 4^2 + 1 = 17

    so the range is {1, 5, 17}
