1) what is the surface area of a rectangular prism if its height is 6 in and its width 3.5 in and the length is 4 in?

2) what is the surface area of a cube if the length and the width and the height is 9 in?

    1. SA = 2 (lw + wh + lh)

    SA = 2 (4*3.5 + 3.5*6 + 4*6)

    SA = 2 (14 + 21 + 24)

    SA = 2 (59)

    SA = 118 in^2

    2. SA = 6s^2

    it is a cube so all side are equal which is equal to 9 in.

    SA = 6 (9) ^2

    SA = 6 (81)

    SA = 486 in^2
