The length of a rectangle is 12 meters less than 6 times the width. If the perimeter of the rectangle is 256 meters, find the length and the width of the rectangle.

    length=108meters

    w=x

    l=6x-12

    p=2 (w+l)

    256=2 (x+6x-12)

    256=2 (7x-12)

    256=14x-24

    256+24=14x

    280=14x

    x=280/14=20
