A chocolate chip cookie recipe calls for 6 cups of chopped nuts and 8 cups of chocolate chips. When Gregory made a batch of these cookies, he used 9 cups of chopped nuts and 12 cups of chocolate chips. Did Gregory use the correct ratio to chocolate chips? Explain why or why not?

    from 6 to 9, it must have added 3. 3 is half of 6.

    from 8 to 12, it must have added 4. 4 is half of 8.
