90-20 leaves 70 for surfing. since surfing is 5 per hour, 70/5=14 hours she can surf.

To solve this, we'll use an equation!

    20 (basic cost) + 5x ($5 per hour) = <$90.

We want the cost to stay under or at $90!

Let's first begin by simplifying it. We can get rid of the 20 in the equation by subtracting it from both sides, so we're just left with 5x = 70. Now, it's a simple matter of division!

Divide 70 by 5 to simplify even more and you'll discover that you're left with x = 14. This means that Gina can hang out there for 14 hours before running out of money!
