    There are 87 chicken and 23 dogs.

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Let the no. Of dogs be 'a'

    Let the no. Of chicken be 'b'

    Given that

    Total no. of eyes = 220

    2a + 2b = 220

    Total no. of legs = 266

    4a + 2b = 266

    Solve the equations

    4a + 2b = 266

    2a + 2b = 220

    We get,

    2a = 46

    a = 23

    2a + 2b = 220

    46 + 2b = 220

    2b = 174

    b = 174/2

    b = 87

    There are 87 chickens and 23 dogs
