    21.98 yards

    Step-by-step explanation:

    In this question, we are asked to get the distance from a flag placed at the center of a garden to the edge of that garden.

    From the definition of circle terms, the radius of a circle is simply the distance from the center of the circle to any part of the circumference (in this case, edge of the circle)

    Since we are given the circumference of the circle, all we need to do to know the distance is to look for the value of the radius. Hence, we use the formula that links the circumference of a circle and the radius of the circle.

    Mathematically, the circumference of a circle C=2πr

    The value π is 22/7

    138.16 = 2 * 22/7 * r

    44r = 7 * 138.16

    r = (7 * 138.16) / 44

    r = 21.98 yards

    Hence the distance from the center of the circular garden to its edge is 21.98 yards
