The ratio of roses to lilies is 4:3 and that of lilies to peonies is 4:1.

suppose the number of roses is x:

the number of lilies will be 3/4x

the number of peonies will be 1/4*3/4x=3/16x

the ratio of roses to peonies will be:

    x / (3x) / 16

    x*16 / (3x)

    =16/3

hence the ratio will be 16:3
