4x=x^2+6x+9, what do I do next? Subtract 4x?

    Yes. Subtract 4x by both sides.

    So:

    4x = x^2 + 6x + 9

    0 = x^2 + 2x + 9

    Then you can factorize

    0 = (x+1) ^2 + 8

    -x^2 - 6x + 4x - 9=0

    -x^2 - 2x - 9=0

    D = b^2 - 4ac = 4 - 4*1*9 = 4 - 36 = - 32-> no solution
