Work out the value of 2^-3

    Since you're working with powers anything times said power is the number times itself that many times.

    Okay, I'm not one hundred percent I explained that right, so here I go

    Since this is 2^-3 basically you multiply 2 by itself 3 times, okay?

    So 2*2 = 4*2 = 8. (: I believe with negatives since you can't put those in the calculator without getting a decimal you have to put it in manually, so you have to put the negative in front to give you - 8. (:
