Convert the meter distance to KM so thaey are all the same measurement:

    1 meter = 0.001 km

    400 m x 0.001 m/km = 0.4 km

    Now add all three distances:

    Total distance = 0.4 + 40.1 + 12.2 = 52.7 km.

    The answer is B.
