In the united states there are about 3 vehicles for every 4 people, the highest ratio worldwide. At this rate, about how many vehicles are there in a twon of 17,600 people?

    The ratio is 3:4 vehicles to people. So we need to find out what each unit is X:

    4x = 17600

    x = 4400

    Now take the 4400 and multiply it by 3 to find the number of cars.

    3 * 4400 = 13200 vehicles.
