The convenience store sells a 16 ounce bottle of water for $2.40 and a 28 ounce

    The 16 ounce bottle is the better deal

    Divide the ounces by the price to see the price per ounce for each item.

    16 / 2.40 = 6.67 cents an ounce

    28/2.80 = 10 cents an ounce
