Last week, 420 people went to the skating rink. This week, only 294 people went. What is the percent decrease for the skating rink attendance? %

    Number of people that went to the skating rink this week = 294

    Then

    Decrease in the number

    of people going to the skating rink this week = 420 - 294

    = 126

    Percentage decrease in the number

    of people going to the skating rink this week = (126/420) * 100

    = 1260/42

    = 30 percent

    So there is 30% decrease in the percentage of people going to the skating rink this week.
