In a museum, the ratio of adults to children is 10 to 2 if there are 156 people in the museum how many children are there?

    A = the number of adults

    c = the number of children

    a + c = 156

    a = 5c

    a = 130 adults

    c = 26 children

    There were 130 adults and 26 children visiting the museum.
