    Given: 160.5 in²=area of paralellogram

    7.5 in = height

    b = ?

    Let us work out for the missing base. Basically, the formula in finding the area of a parallelogram is A = b * h. Since base is missing, we will use b = A/h where, area is divided by the measure of the height.

    so,

    b = A / h

    = 160.5 inch² : 7.5 inch

    = 21.4 inch

    Therefore base has the measure of 21.4 inches.

    Check:

    A = b * h

    = (21.4 inch) (7.5 inch)

    A = 160.5 inches²
