George is playing pool, but there is a large gouge running all the way across the table. When he hits the ball, it bounces off the opposite side as he intended but then gets diverted by the gouge. The path of the ball can be modeled by the function f x () = - x 3, and the gouge can be modeled by the function g (x) = 2x2 - 30x + 89. The corners of the table correspond to the coordinates (0, 0), (8, 0), (8, 4), and (0, 4).
