    Y = - (x - 3) ² + 4

    y = - (x - 3) (x - 3) + 4

    y = - (x² - 3x - 3x + 9) + 4

    y = - (x² - 6x + 9) + 4

    y = - x² + 6x - 9 + 4

    y = - x² + 6x - 5

    -x² + 6x - 5 = 0

    x = - (6) + / - √ ((6) ² - 4 (-1) (-5))

    2 (-1)

    x = - 6 + / - √ (36 - 20)

    -2

    x = - 6 + / - √ (16)

    -2

    x = - 6 + / - 4

    -2

    x = - 6 + 4 x = - 6 - 4

    -2 - 2

    x = - 2 x = - 10

    -2 - 2

    x = 1 x = 5

    y = - x² + 6x - 5

    y = - (1) ² - 6 (1) - 5

    y = - (1) - 6 - 5

    y = - 1 - 6 - 5

    y = - 7 - 5

    y = - 12

    (x, y) = (1, - 12)

    or

    y = - x² + 6x - 5

    y = - (5) ² + 6 (5) - 5

    y = - (25) + 30 - 5

    y = - 25 + 30 - 5

    y = 5 - 5

    y = 0

    (x, y) = (5, 0)
