Marla bought a book for $12.95, a binder for $3.49, and a backpack for $44.99. The sales tax rate is 6%. Find the amount of tax and the total she paid for these items

    If you add all those numbers you'd get 61.43.

    6% of 61.43=?

    61.43x. 06 = 3.6858 (6%)

    61.43+3.6858 = 65.1158

    the tax amount was $3.6858

    the total was 65.1158, round it and you get $65.12
