Let's say your trying to get 100 pieces of gum.

    The 20 pack:

    0.75 cent/p

Times this by five, giving you 3.75

    The ten packs:

There are 10 packs of gum which contain ten pieces of gum in one pack

    10 times 10 is 100 pieces.

    So 100 pieces is $5

But the deal for the 20 pack is 3.75

    Making it the better deal
