From the top of a cliff 426 feet high, the angle of depression of a ship is observed to be 18. How far out is the ship? Express as nearest whole number.

    La nave dista 1311 piedi.

    La cima di una scogliera = cateto di un triangolo rettangolo = cateto b;

    L'angolo di depressione = angolo acuto opposto al cateto b;

    La distanza della nave = base del triangolo = cateto c.
