    Cost: 11.625 dollars

    Step-by-step explanation:

If the fence is placed around the garden, that would be represented by the perimeter of the garden. Knowing the dimensions of the garden (4.5 feet by 3.25 feet) you can find the perimeter as such:

    2 (4.5 feet) + 2 (3.25 feet) =

    9 feet + 2 (3.25 feet) =

    9 feet + 6.5 feet =

    Perimeter of Garden: 15.5 feet

Knowing the perimeter, you can calculate the cost of the fence by multiplying the perimeter by the cost of fencing per foot:

    15.5 * 0.75 =

Total Cost for Fence: 11.625 dollars
