If the rate of change of a population is given by dP/dt=3.1 (P-2) (P-10), P>0, for what values of P is the population increasing

    You have to test dp/dt between these intervals

    (-inf, 2)

    (2,10)

    (10, inf)

    if dp/dt is positive then the population is increasing with respect to time in that interval
