    The nuts weigth is 37/16 or 2.3125 pounds.

    Step-by-step explanation:

    In order to solve this problem we first need to convert all the measurements to the same unit, in this case we will convert ounces to pounds, to do that we need to divide the value by 16, we have:

    almonds = 9/16 pounds

    We can now convert the weigh of pecans from a mixed fraction to a simple fraction, to do that we sum the integer part to the fraction, we have:

    pecans = 1 + 1/8 = 8/8 + 1/8 = 9/8 pounds

    We now sum all the weigths:

    total weigth = 9/8 + 5/8 + 9/16

    Applying LMC we have:

    total weigth = (2*9 + 2*5 + 9) / 16 = (18 + 10 + 9) / 16 = 37/16 = 2.3125 pounds

    The nuts weigth is 37/16 or 2.3125 pounds.
