Hector spent $36.75 for 2 DVDs that cost the same amount. The sales tax on his purchase was 2.15. Hector also used a coupon for $1.00 off his purchase. How much did each DVD cost? Work backward to find the cost of the 2 DVDs

    36.75 + 1 = 37.75 - 2.15 = 35.60/2 = 17.80
