If you would like to know how much money does each friend make, you can calculate this using the following steps:

    May: $23.25

    Inez: 100 times as much as May ... 100 * $23.25 = $2325

Carolyn: one tenth of the money that Inez makes ... 1/10 * $2325 = $232.5

Result: May makes $23.25, Inez makes $2325 and Carolyn makes $232.5.
