first you should go left to right when solving these equations:
5/12 ∙ 1/5
= 5/60
Then you multiply 5/60 and 8
5/60 ∙ 8/1 (8/1 is still a whole number. It makes it easier to multiply)
= 40/60 = 2/3
So, the answer is 2/3.
