Why is 3 a prime number

    3 is a prime number, beacuse 3 cannot be divided evenly by any number except for 1 and 3.

    Prime numbers are numbers that have a factor of 1 and the number itself.

    Since 3 only has two factors which are 3 and itself, it's considered a prime number.
