    If A is 14.5 more inches than 6 times the snowfall in city B, then

    A=6B+14.5

    61.9=6B+14.5

    Subtract 14.5 from both sides.

    47.4=6B

    Divide both sides by 6.

    B=7.9 or 7.9 inches
