    Step 1: solve for y.

    Step 2: replace y with f (x) to write in function notation.

    3x + 2y = 6

    2y=-3x+6

    y = - (3/2) x + 3

    f (x) = - (3/2) x + 3

    4x+3y=12

    3y=-4x+12

    y = - (4/3) x + 4

    f (x) = - (4/3) x + 4
