    0.980

    Here is a pro tip! When you add zeroes to a number normally it will increase in value, but not in the case of decimals. I will go into explaining why ... now!

    With decimals you can convert them into fractional forms if you know how to say them.

    For instance 0.1

    Is 1 tenth. Which is the same as saying: 1/10.

    0.10

    Is 10 hundredths. Which is the same as saying: 10/100

    You might think on the surface that the number is larger, but in reality you can cancel a zero out of the problem, because it isn't reduced. And in it's reduced form it is: 1/10. So adding a zero in a decimal doesn't do anything, because it gets canceled out in the end.

    So I hope after that explanation you understand that:

    0.98 = 0.980

    Because 0.980 is 980/1000 The zeroes cancel and give 98/100. Which is the same as 0.98.

    So they are equal to each other.
