The sales tax in town is 7%. if stereo was 35 what was the stereo price

    This is simply a problem where you have to get the stereo price plus tax. First, lets get the price of the tax in the town. Now for the stereo, we must first multiply 35 (price of the stereo) to 7% or 0.07. The answer to that is 2.45. This is the amount of tax that one has to pay when he buys the stereo. Now in order to get the full price of the stereo, you have to add 2.45 to 35. By doing this, you will get the full price of 37.45.
