    Area of trapezoid = (base1+base2) times 1/2 times height

    aera=65

    height=10

    one of th ebases is 9 and 1/2

    area = (base1+base2) times height times 1/2

    65 = (9 and 1/2+base2) times 10 times 1/2

    65 = (9 and 1/2+base2) times 5

    divide both sides by 5

    13=9 and 1/2+base2

    subtract 9 and 1/2 from both sides

    3 and 1/2

    the legnth of the other base=3 and 1/2 feet
