Find the area of a triangle that has a base of 4 1 / 2 yd and a height of 3 1 / 6 yd.

    For this we can use the area of a triangle formula:

    area = 1/2 * base * height

    And just substitute the values in:

    area = 1/2 * 4.5 * 3.167

    = 7.125 yd²
