    tan (x) = sin (x) / cos (x)

When x = pi/2-x, it's the same thing but you just substitute

    sin (pi/2-x) / cos (pi/2-x) = tan (pi/2-x)

    1/cos (x) = secx

    sec^2 (x-1) / sec (x-1) = sec (x-1) = 1/cos (x-1)
