A rectangular room is three times as long as it is wide, and it's perimeter is 72 meters. Find the length of the room.

    Let the width = x

    length = 3x

    Now, 2 (3x+x) = 72

    2 (4x) = 72

    8x=72

    x = 9

    So, length would be 3x=3 (9) = 27 meters
