    Add the percent of kites that were NOT blue

    38+25=63

    100%-63%=37%

    37% of x = 296

    .37x=296

    x=296/.37

    x=800

    they made a total of 800 kites

    5. 60 people each bought $2 lottery tickets. 7 of these people won $5, 3 of them won %10 and 1 of them won $20. The total amount of money won, is what percent of the total amount spent on the tickets?

    im going to assume that 3 of them won $10, not %10

    find the amount spent: 60*2 = $120

    total $5 winners: 7, so 7*5 = $35 to those winners

    total $10 winners: 3, so 3*10 = $30 to those winners

    total $20 winners: 1, so 1*20 = $20 to those winners

    add up all the winnings:

    35+30+20 = $85

    what percent of $85 out of $120

    X of 120=85

    120x=85

    x=85/120

    the percent is roughly 70.8%
