A student reads 3⁄5 of a book in 30 minutes. How much of the book will be read, if the student reads at the same speed for 40 minutes? Write your answer as a fraction of the book.

    In 30 minutes he reads 3/5 of the book

    so in 1 minute he reads 3/5 / 30 = 3/150 = 1/50

    in 40 minutes he will read 40 * 1/50 = 4/5

    4/5 of the book
