When a chunk of metal is dropped into a container of water, the water level rises 1.2cm. The container is shaped like a square prism, with a base that measures 4cm on each side. What is the density of the medal of its mass is 52 grams? (Express your answer in grams/cm (cubed) rounded to the nearest thousandth.

    Volume of the water displaced

    = 1.2*4*4 = 19.2 = volume

    Density of metal = 52 / 19.2
