A geometric sequence is defined by the explicit formula an = 5 (-3) n-1. What is the recursive formula for the nth term of this sequence?

    An=a1 (r) ^ (n-1)

    an=5 (-3) ^ (n-1)

    so then each term is multiplied by - 3

    so

    f (n) = - 3 (f (n-1))

    and

    f (n) = 5
