Rewrite the square-root expression as an imaginary number: sqrt of - 64

is it 8i?

    The answer is 8i.

    i = √ (-1)

    √ (-64) = √ ((-1) * 64)

    = √ (-1) * √64

    = i * √8²

    = i * 8

    = 8i
