    (-1,4) (2,3)

    slope = (3-4) / (2 - (-1) = - 1/3 ... a parallel line will have the same slope

    y = mx + b

    slope (m) = - 1/3

    (4,-2) ... x = 4 and y = - 2

    now we sub

    -2 = - 1/3 (4) + b

    -2 = - 4/3 + b

    -2 + 4/3 = b

    -6/3 + 4/3 = b

    -2/3 = b

    equation in slope int form is : y = - 1/3x - 2/3

    y = - 1/3x - 2/3

    1/3x + y = - 2/3 ... multiply by 3

    x + 3y = - 2

    x + 3y + 2 = 0 < = = general form
